From Artwork to Relief
Every feature is prepared as part of a depth hierarchy. The eagle feathers, rattlesnake scales, distressed 1776 flag, and recessed background are engraved at different levels so the finished image changes as light moves across the steel.
Why Carbon Steel
Carbon steel gives the engraving a substantial, traditional metalwork character and supports the pronounced relief used in this set. It also responds beautifully to an antiqued finish that separates raised detail from recessed areas.
Finished by Hand in Florida
After engraving, every panel is antiqued and inspected by hand in our Middleburg, Florida workshop. Subtle differences in tone and highlights are expected because each set is individually finished.
